Thank you for coming to our concerts, for bringing your children to special events to open their lives to the power of great music, and for supporting us with your contributions to help bridge the gap between ticket income and our total costs.
Your support enables us to provide high quality music and exceptional soloists to local audiences at modest prices…artists like violin virtuoso Stephanie Chase who joined us for an all-Beethoven evening, and piano prodigy George Li, a Lexington High School student.
Donations also help fund the outreach we do to build community and especially to engage children and youth. We’ve made the December Holiday Pops now part of our regular season. Our biennial Children’s Workshop is eagerly anticipated by parents. We’ve begun a partnership with WCRB and the Massachusetts Teachers’ Association in which small groups of our musicians visit classrooms in schools where music resources are scant or absent altogether. To date we’ve met with students in Everett, Lynn, East Boston, Lawrence and the Carroll Center for the Blind. We hope to include some of these same students in our celebrated
“Orchestrating Kids Through Classics” program which now reaches every 3rd grader in Lexington.
It’s your enthusiasm that keeps us going… and growing. Please be as generous as you can in helping us balance our budget and reach our fundraising goal of $100,000.
Be part of sharing this cultural treasure.
Sincerely,
Fred Johnson, President
