Children's Workshop/Concert 2:00 pm

Sight and Sound

Jonathan McPhee, conductor

Stefan Jackiw, violin

An abbreviated version of the previous night's concert

The Lexington Symphony presents a workshop of musical events exploring the interaction of sight and sound and provides the perfect opportunity to visit the Museum's exhibit "Fins, Wings and Other Such Things," with animal photos from the Polaroid Collections. Selected photos from the collection will be shown on large screen synchronized to Gounod's March of the Marionettes in the concert that follows. Share with your children and grandchildren these wonderfully comic animal photos set to music, the amazing talents of superstar violinist Stefan Jackiw, and a chance to get to know the players in the Lexington Symphony and how their instruments work!

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Lexington Council for the Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
