Walton Viola Concerto
Brahms Symphony No. 1

The opening drum roll of Rossini’s thrilling overture to The Thieving Magpie lifts the curtain on a season of blockbusters, with this program featuring one of the great viola concertos of the repertoire, performed by former Takács Quartet violist Roger Tapping, and Brahms’ monumental first symphony.
