Lexington Symphony Sold Out All- Beethoven concert November 14
The Lexington Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Jonathan McPhee, announced Monday that their next concert featuring acclaimed violinist Stephanie Chase on November 14 is sold out. Chase will perform as guest soloist in Beethoven's Violin Concerto. Also on the program is Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica." Maestro McPhee gives a pre-concert talk about the evening's works at 7:00 pm in the concert hall.
This is great news for a local arts organization, which has grown over the past 15 years. Elizabeth Whitfield, First Violinist and Board member noted, "It brings much satisfaction and excitement to those involved. The growth of the symphony's popularity means we are making an impact in the local community by offering high quality performances, reasonably priced for all to experience."
Though tickets to the Beethoven concert went quickly there is still the opportunity to experience the Symphony and purchase tickets for upcoming performances. Tickets for the two Holiday pops concerts on December 4 at 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm are now available as are tickets for the talented, young pianist, and Lexington resident, George Li on February 6. A special Children's Workshop and Concert also featuring George Li occurs on February 7 at 2:00pm; tickets are $20 or adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
The Symphony has asked if anyone has purchased tickets to the November 14 performance and are unable to attend, tickets can be donated back to the Symphony by calling 781-523-9009.
